hanging on in the storm
How can we hang on in the storm
around us especially when it is fierce and vicious? Unfortunately, this is the time we let go instead of hanging on. When the sea rages around us and our ship looks as if it will or about to capsized, what do we do? I keep letting go!!
What about the people around us? Do we provide a helping hand to stabilise them or do we judge their effort to stay afloat or simply ignore them? Do we use the opportunity to show them how spiritual we are? Do we make them feel incapable or even worthless?
We need to change our attitudes, I need to change. It is difficult to praise Him in a storm and yet that is what we need to do: it is difficult to trust Him and not let go, but that is what Christ demands.
Father, help me to focus on You and learn to trust You whatever the outcome of my situation is, I know You are in control (Amen).
