Klingon code of honor

It appears that David and Worf from Star Trek, the next generation, have something in common. There is great honor in dying in battle, but it is a terrible thing to die through treachery and deceit with no chance to defend oneself.

David also hated the way Joab killed Abner, and though he dishonered him publicly, he did not punish him in any other way. It is true that Abner killed Joab's brother but that was during battle.

As a woman it is hard for me to understand war and killing. But soldiers, especially those who die fighting for their country deserve honor and respect. Still no soldier should be forced to fight for a cause he does not believe in. And our military could learn a lot from the guidelines God placed on Israel, such as giving a newly wed soldier at least one year to be with his wife before going into battle.
