Genesis 22:12 “Don’t lay a hand on the boy!” the angel said. “Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son."
Abraham would have sooner tore out his own heart than hurt one hair on his boy's head, yet he implicitly trusted God. Reminds me of Job 13:15 (last weeks reading) that said "though he slay me, yet will I trust him ..." Do I have that kind of faith and fear of the Lord? Though he take my income, yet will I trust Him. Though he take my house, my car, my friends, yet will I trust Him. Though he take my children & my husband, yet will I trust Him.
