Two-Faced Jesus

It always makes me laugh to see the two sides of Jesus in his responses to the people around him. Some people came to him humbly, begging and pleading or just earnestly believing in him, and to them he demonstrated love and power. People were healed, demons were cast out, and all manner of miracles were performed. And on the other hand, you've got the religious guys. To those who came with haughty questions or the wrong attitude, he was penetrating and swift, demonstrating his own superiority and wisdom. But to ones like Nicodemus, who came honestly seeking, or the man asking about the greatest commandment, he was kind.

I think he was always seeking to teach and to love, and everybody who gave him that opportunity was rewarded. And then to the people who came with other motives, well, I wouldn't call it a reward.
