Persistance
After spending time in Luke 11, this story continues to drive home what I often struggle to believe: that God listens and responds to our prayers. I've been a follower of Jesus long enough that you would think I would have this down by now - but I don't. My sometimes confusing experience of prayer (I pray and pray and pray and.....nothing) - my human tendency to doubt - the whispers of the evil one - all combine to raise the level of cynicism and skepticism that Jesus' words can be believed.
