I find this passage so interesting and instructive, especially in light of Luke 11 and 18. Moses engages God in prayer. But this isn't quiet prayer with hands folded and eyes closed - this is bold, brash, honest, conversation. This is passionate dialogue. God is ready to destroy - Moses objects - and God changes God's mind. Do my prayers take on this same passion? Am I willing to boldly hold God to the promises he has made?
