Heavenly Eunuch's
Jesus makes no bones about the issue of divorce. Where there were many loopholes leveraged by men in the first century to get away with divorce for the most trite of marriage problems, Jesus raises the bar. But not because he is a legalist. He did it to restore our conscience to health. Years and years of moral compromise can produce a licentious offspring. Such was the culture in which Jesus ministered. Israel had lost her way. And Christ drew a line in the sand. It would be good if we also drew such a line in our culture today.
