What is HIS GLORY all about?
~ God DISPLAYED it Luke 2:8-9
~ The heavenly host STATED it Luke 2:14
~ The shepherds to RESPONDED it luke 2:20
His Glory defined: It is the WEIGHTY IMPORTANCE and SHINING MAJESTY that accompany God's presence.
- kabod: Hebrew for God's Glory and is the same word used in the following Old Testament references to mean these items as well.
~ Heavy in WEIGHT 1 Samuel 4:18; Proverbs 27:3
~ A heavy BURDEN Exodus 18:18; Psalm 38:4
~ Good FORTUNE Genesis 13:2
~ Mass NUMBERS and STRENGTH Numbers 20:20; 1 Kings 10:2
~ To HONOR Exodus 20:12; 1 Samuel 15:30; Psalm 15:1-4
Glory is the heaviness of God, weightiness of God.
What do WE DO with His Glory?
~ We recognize His IMPORTANCE. Psalm 22:23
If God is not glorious we could pick and choose where we worship and honor Him.
But God is Glorious.
~ We consider His VALUE. Psalm 86:12
Will we behold His Glory this Christmas season?
