Oh how God knows us.
We think we are smart, thinking of ways to circumvent any rule or system. When God is talking about the sabbath he makes sure that we understand that he means business and he doesn't want us trying to cheat.
I have read this scripture hundreds of times and and it never hit me like today. When He is speaking of taking the day off He goes ahead and anticipates the, "but I wasn't working my slaves were" excuse. He elaborates that no one in relationship with you under you or around you is supposed to work on the day He set apart for rest.
If He knows us enough to anticipate our response do you think He knows us enough to know that we need a day of rest? What excuse are you making?
