Faith? Or Insight? A Combo?
God had already promised Abraham that through Issac theworld would be populated. SO! Did Abraham just know that the Lord was testing his faith here, or was it something deeper then that? He didn't question or grumble. As he was instructed to do he did. Why can't I do that always? Just be obedient and let God work out the details. Abraham knew that both he and boy would return. Why when God becons me do I doubt that he will work all things out for my best? You are an awesome God. Help me to trust you more.
