Devout Disciple
Acts 21-22 is a stirring account of Paul's witness to the Jews in Jerusalem. He was ritually purifying himself in the temple for the sole purpose of showing the Jews that he didn't despise the law or righteousness. Yet he was rejected nonetheless. This just goes to show that we can do all we can to win over the cynics, but sometimes there's no convincing that will work. Still, Paul attempted to minister to these people. What a model of Christianity! He was devout. He embraced suffering. He preached the Gospel. Lord, help me to have Paul 's commitment to the Gospel!
