A Prayer for Our Generation
Lord, help us realize that prayer is not about us telling you what we have done but about us remembering where you have brought us from. We get so consumed on preaching about a God of Mercy that we don't even understand what it means to receive mercy. We have lost our first love! Its not about us...for I am a sinner. I now understand Luke 17:10, I'm unworthy...I didn't deserve to loved...to be called...I just do what you have called me to do bc you loved me first. The need will always be there and you could have chosen someone else, someone not addicted to lust...someone not addicted to power...someone that was not living a lie but your MERCY...YOUR GRACE! The tax collector was justified bc he was praying his version of a Jn. 3:30 prayer...its not about me and its all about you! I'm not at CFNI bc I want to be a pastor but bc I want to leave what I know in order to learn to walk by faith! Thank you for freeing me from the lie, the power trip, and lustful mentality - you are doing great things in me and through me...YOUR POWER AND LOVE!
