Our ears seem to be the key. Not just our listening ears, but the ears that cause our obedience. The soil is potentially good in every heart ... the difference? What do we do with the seed? What do we do with the teachings of Jesus? In Hebrew culture, "to hear" had a huge connection to obedience.

So, how much are we listening? Just a little or maybe a whole bunch? It seems, the more we listen the more we have the potential to be obedient too. So yes our ears are very important.

Prayer: God in my quiet time, I pray that I am really listening ... I want to be good soil.
