Surrender to be free
It's the ultimate paradox, take up your cross and die so that you can live. Make sense right? It's contrary to our nature and common sense but the only way for man to experience freedom. We give up being our own master surrendering to God's will and we experience complete freedom. But freedom from what? When we lose ourselves for the will of God we become free to live as we were created, walking with out creator and heavenly father, not chained to the pull of the world or other people. We are free from anxiety and worry and can experience perfect peace. But do not misunderstand. This is not the easy path. It is the road of the cross. But the option of living for ourselves is much worse and can lead us to emptiness, guilt, loneliness, and ultimately separation from God.
