Tradition is a four-letter word
This is just one of many times when tradition is spoken of in a negative connotation. We get caught up so easily in traditions but then they can ensnare us. I remember the first Easter Sunday when I attended a church that didn't dress up ever. I remember thinking it was horrible to not dress up on Easter Sunday (and yet secretly I loved it!)! Some people will simply not attend a church that doesn't practice all the traditional events - and actually think that that particular church must not be of God because of it! It becomes all about the practice and nothing about God.
