God wants the sushi

This just reminds me of how we often give God certain things when He desires another. There are times God has His finger on something in our lives that He wants us to give Him- maybe an old wound, unforgiveness, insecurity, a habit, etc. We can be so stubborn- we'll offer Him everything else instead- acts of service, we'll read our bibles, we'll raise our hands extra high in worship- but what He wants is for me to stop being so impatient. It's like being offered every possible entree from a list of restaurants... but nothing sounds good because you had your mind set on sushi tonight.They are usually the things we don't want to give up. We'll offer everything else, but "please don't ask me for that!!! " Yep, God's feeling like sushi tonight.
