Our Legacy
If anyone should have a legacy in life apart, it should have been Joseph. His strategic initiatives and leadership saved the nation of Egypt. Yet, as this verse points out, the king of Egypt "knew nothing about Jospeh or what he had done."
What a great reminder that, apart from Jesus, we are really nothing. Everything we do, everything we accumulate, everything we write or say is going to vanish some day. It will be forgotten. The only thing that will be eternal will be the Kingdom of God.
That should put into perspective what I need to do today. My focus and investment of time and resources should be in Kingdom initiatives. Everything else will be forgotten.
