The College Life
I find this passage very important, especially for young adults who are followers of God, particularly those in a college campus environment. There are constant opportunities to party and drink and too many times have I seen so called believers participating in excessive drinking and immoral behavior. I am not trying to pass judgement or condemn these individuals, I myself have had a drink a time or two. But after reading this passage I have to stop and think for those who I share my relationship with Jesus with or for those I have brought to church or to those I have tried to teach or give me testimony what must it look like to speaking the word of God one minute and getting drunk and partying the next.......all I do and say should honor God at all times! I'm left wondering though does that mean I can never have a drink, am I to never socialize, where is that fine line? I want to be able to say I have the discipline to not even consider going to a party or drinking but the truth is I am young, I am in college, and I am human.......
