I love the way the message interprets this text. Do not even run little errands that are connected with the old way of life. Our minds will justify even the smallest things to be okay (a negative word, a white lie, a negative entertained thought about someone) because they are not as bad as murdering someone, engaging yourself in sex, drugs, or alcohol. We have to be faithful to not connecting ourselves even with the "little errands". Everytime we do not willingly give into temptation, big or small. We are empowered by the holy spirit into God's way of doing things. Thus we live in the true freedom that God intended us to live. Thank you Jesus.
