A Prayer for Our Generation
Lord, as I read this scripture it makes me think on how big of an emphasis we put on evangelism and forget about discipleship. I know the kingdom of God's primary focus is going out into the world, but Paul takes a moment to write to "faithful followers" of Ephesus. Don't let me ever forget that we are to be a Kingdom that wins and retains. We are to be a Kingdom that Evangelizes and Disciples. We are to be a Kingdom that prays for them when outside and equip them while inside the church. We will pray for them to receive you as their Lord and Savior and we will fast so that they can find their calling. We will bring them in and then send them out. As I prepare every and any message, let me keep in mind all those that are far from God and "followers of Christ."
