Falling From Grace

I know this verse is a cornerstone for those who believe we can lose our salvation, and I'm not one who is dogmatic on the issue. But when I read this, in context, Paul isn't hammering on about surety of salvation, he's furthering the gap between faith and works for salvation. its kind of like believing all cars need to go 200 mph because someone compared a broken down junker to a 200mph car.

I know there's plenty more verses that pick up the argument, but this one, I don't think should be in the argument.

This has been a lesson for me over the last year, to read in broader context. And it has both solidified some understanding, and broken others. In thus case, it has done neither, since I fall on the ambiguous side of the once-saved-always-saved argument.
