Observation
Who doesn't like the taste of honey? It's very tasty and sweet. And who doesn't like sex? It's very... well, let's just say something that we all strongly desire.

The adulterous woman is very smooth and persuasive with her words. She says all the things that, on the surface would be "tasty and sweet", but in the end actually taste bitter.

"Sharp as a double-edged sword" means that something has or can have both favorable and unfavorable consequences.

There is nothing favorable about committing adultery. Adultery destroys. That pathway leads to death (spiritual and sometimes physical) -- end of story.

The interesting thing about the adulterous woman is that she has no clue where she's headed in life (and doesn't seem to care). It's like she validates herself by saying things like: "I'm a good person" and "What? I haven't done anything wrong."

Wisdom's call is for us to: (1) stay away from her, and (2) don't venture near her home.

  The outcomes for failing to take heed and listen to wisdom are: (1) you will lose honor, (2) strangers will take advantage of you and will mercilessly take all the wealth you've worked so hard to build, (3) you could contract a life threatening or permanent venereal disease, (4) you will kick yourself for being so hard-headed.
  
  Application
  I will practice wisdom by avoiding altogether or choosing to remove myself from places where I am being or would be tempted.
  
  Prayer
  Lord, please give me the wisdom to know what's the wise thing to do when faced with any situation that could lead to adultery and give me the courage to do it. In Jesus name, Amen!
