Do it for God

First contribution here. Probably wont be much most of the time, more of a bible blog than commentary I'm thinking.

Anyway, I Peter 4:11. Can you guys really imagine what the church, what we, could be capable of if we did everything for and from God? If the ONLY words we spoke we those which God gave us? If the only steps we took were toward God's purposes in our lives? "That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ." This is the purpose, to give God the glory he deserves. This reminds me when Jesus told his disciples - as often as you eat and drink do it in remembrance of me. It reminds me that in doing the apparently mundane we can either serve God, or we can miss an opportunity to bring Heaven to Earth. It also mentions serving with the ability God supplies, takes the pressure off as far as I'm concerned :)
