Silencing the demons

I think he worked the miracles out of his compassion for the people, but he didn't want the people to become transfixxed on only the miracles. Seems like one of the most common attacks of satan in my life is distraction, and so Jesus cut the demons off here knowing that the people would become distracted by the miracles rathering than focusing on the message.
