God Fights Our Battles - His way
God does not always do things the way we expect Him to. After Israel watched the destruction of Pharaoh's army they expected a similar type of move into the Promised Land, and they expected it immediately. Israel is celebrating the victory and imagining the fear of their enemies while their enemies have not yet even heard of them. Israel had no clue concerning how or when God would lead them to their new home. The irony is that what began as faith in God, soon became arrogance and a sense of entitlement based on who they were and not based on who God is. There are many lessons to learn here, but patience and submission to a God who knows best is among the most significant.
