A Full Experience Of Salvation

Peter writes in 1 Peter 2: 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. 3 Now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness.

Peter indicates, that as we allow maturity and growth to take place in our lives we get to experience more of the fullness of salvation. He is not saying we are not saved, because salvation is like being pregnant, you either are or you aren't. To follow pregnancy analogy, there are women who experience the full wonder, excitement and joy of the whole nine month process. They read, watch videos and talk to others in trying to embrace the entire process. On the other hand, there are some women who become crippled by fear, withdraw into isolation and focus on every pain as they imagine al that can go wrong. In nine months both women deliver a healthy baby. However, one enjoyed the "full experience of pregnancy while the other "endured" it.

I want to grow and mature with a greater revelation of spiritual truth so that I can embrace the full experience of salvation.

While the destination of eternity with Him is secured by His blood and forgiveness of my sins, I the full experience of salvation along the journey.
