What's is Heresy?

Heresy -
* The act of taking some truth mixing it with non-truth.
* Taking truth twisting it all with the intent to deceive or miss lead.

HERESY %u2014 false doctrine, or teaching that denies one of the foundational beliefs of the church, such as the Lordship or deity of Jesus. The writings of the apostle Paul and other early church leaders make it clear that heretical teachings were a problem in the New Testament church (2 Pet. 2:1).
In the Book of 2 Corinthians, Paul condemned certain %u201Cfalse apostles%u201D and %u201Cdeceitful workers%u201D who claimed to be %u201Capostles of Christ%u201D (2 Cor. 11:13). These may have been the Judaizers, who tried to force believers to observe the Jewish ritual of Circumcision before they could be accepted as members of the church.
The writer of 1 John also condemned a heretical group known as the Gnostics, who denied the deity of Jesus (1 John 2:22).
