Ridiculous?

John 9:1-11 talks about the miracle Jesus performed healing the blind man with mud on his eyes. Doesn't this seem ridiculous? How many times does God ask us to do things that seem ridiculous or put us in situations that we don't understand and can't see where he's working in that situation? he's asking us for quick obedience. How often do we fail to quickly obey and miss out on God's blessings in that situation?
