The Tree of Life, The Ark of the Covenant

It is commonly known that the only way to have eternal life is through Christ Jesus. Why is it than that the Lord is worried about Adam eating from the Tree of Life and living forever? More so who is the Lord referring to when he says "man has become as one of us"? Well to answer the first question and the second, the tree of life is Christ! Jesus and the father we're speaking to one another. In Genesis Chapter one we saw it say "Let us make man in OUR image." So we know the father and son were both present. The Cherubim and flaming sword guarding the tree are the same described guarding the most holy place in the ark of the covenant.
