What can mortal man do to me?
Intimidation is a funny thing. Always think of the worst possible scenario and how bad it really is. Human's can do all kinds of things to you, but at the same time, they can only do so much to you. They can yell at you, hit you, rob you, attack you, violate you, even kill you, but they can not touch your soul. They cannot take away Christ's love from you. They cannot take eternal life from you. If you don't allow it, they can't even take an ounce of hope, joy, love, or integrity from you. These are all yours, and you either allow it to be compromised or you don't. So think about it. Life can be crappy, but it's not your fault, and you can continue to do good and live a life of joy through the Lord your God. In trusting him you have no worries. Persecution maybe, but your relationship to God is untouchable.
