These guys remind me a bit of those Israelites I read of earlier today. Getting in fear over the present situation insiead of trusting in who God is. I'm thinking the storm had to be really bad- and that Jesus was not a light sleeper. :o) But if fishermen who encounter storms all the time were afraid, I probably would've been freaking out. They ask Jesus if He even cares that they're all going to die. And Jesus was right there in the boat. So funny. I can laugh all I want but the truth is I get scared, too. And Jesus is always right there as well. It's hard not to be ruled by circumstances, not to get emotional when the storm is loud and windy, not to lose heart in what God said because this ride is bumpier than I had anticipated. But all the while... Jesus is right there in the boat. And to top it off, He's sleeping. Guess I should chill out and take a nap, too. This will pass.
