this bread tastes funny

This chapter brings out sarcasm in me. Really Pharisees? You need a sign? Remember all the folks He's healed? The blind that now see? The lame that now walk? The hungry people who are now full? Yeah, I can see how you'd need a sign. Whaaaaa? Talk about grasping at straws- just not wanting to be wrong, that this indeed is He. Then to have His disciples nitpicking the whole boatride- these guys can't see the forest for the trees. Even after those miracles, hearts were hardened (even the disciples- remember last time He fed the crowd?) How easy it is to let little places of unbelief come in- it taints the entire heart just like a small amount of leaven lcan taint the entire loaf. We lose sight of the big picture, of the enormous work we have to do and dwell on silly things that divide us. Just believe!!!
