why busyness never equates to holiness...
I love this verse. Peter is stunned into a practical form of worship. He can't just sit in awe and watch things unfold... he needs to be doing something... so much so he interupts this holy powwow. For some people, busyness equates to holiness - the more we do, the holier we are. This isn't the case... and I don't think this is the case with Peter here. I just think this was his coping mechanism. He saw a gap and sought to plug it... but if he did, he would have missed out on the important exhultation "This is my Son, marked by love. Listen to him". That's why busyness never equates to holiness... because we need to stop, listen and learn as well as act.
