He gives and takes away....
Jesus Christ alone decides who lives, and who dies and when. As I think about the story my mother told me about when she found out she was pregnant with me I tear up. She was on her way to an abortion clinic in a cab on an Army post. Her heart is struck with the message on a billboard that she often drove past but never seen that message. "God does not want you to abort your baby". She couldn't go through with it. He choose me to live. Although I was conceived in sin because my parents were not married He chose me to live. He has authority to take my life. I have so many issues and sins that I strive to overcome daily through His grace. He could wipe me out at any moment but He is patient and long suffering. He holds the key to the timing of my death. I can trust Him. When that time comes, He is still in control. I don't have to fret if He decides to come when my children are young. They are in His hand too. He chose them too. He has a plan for each of them. This verse has given me such comfort and strengthened my trust in Him.
