What if God journaled?
So, in this passage God is once again judging the Israelites for their unfaithfulness through the hand of the Psalmist. Granted, the Bible as we know it is closed - no more additions allowed. But what if God had a journal and we had a copy - an RSS so to speak. Would he say the same sort of things about us? At the very least, I'm forced to embody a certain measure of personal humility when I read these types of passages. I can only imagine that my wandering heart exercises the mercy of God on a regular basis - and perhaps his anger.
