Name The Game- Neh 6:5-9
There will always be those who try to suck you into playing their game. Here, Sanballat tries to pull Nehemiah away from the work of God and into the trap they have laid. Nehemiah sniffs but doesn't bite. In fact, Nehemiah names the game. He flatly denies the accusations- bringing these falsehoods to the test and then calls them out for their evil motives. "They were all trying to frighten us.." he says. Rather than play into their hands or despair nehemiah lifts up the work, his people, and the himself to God asking for a greater measure of power and purpose.
Remember, sniff but don't bite. Call out the truth. Submit back to God.
