inside joke
Warning- this entry has no spiritual context whatsoever- just a funny thing regarding this verse for my friends who follow me on here. This is completely silly- when my husband and I were engaged, we had a joke that instead of me taking his name, we should just combine our last names. No, I'm not a feminist, it really was a joke. Mine is Bennett, his is Horn. A kid in our youth group suggested we become Jeremy and Denise Hornet. SO it was the ongoing joke throughout our engagement. But then during our actual wedding ceremony, my dad referenced thsi verse. I don't think anyone caught it but us. Namely me and my not-so-girlie laugh. So on the middle of this lovely, prayerful moment of my wedding, there I am practically snorting because my dad said Ex. 23:28 to us- that the "hornets would drive evil away from us." So funny.
