Healing / Miracles
I love the faith of Peter! He simply says in the name of Jesus walk and the man walks, which makes me wonder why we sometimes do not see this happen as often today. I know it is not because God is not capable of doing such miracles. I believe that the reason we do not see miracles like this is because our human nature and culture would be selfish and not give the glory to God. If we look at Jesus' ministry and His miracles every time a miracle happened He told the individual who was being healed not to tell anyone, because Jesus wanted all the glory to go to God. Maybe the reason we are not seeing as many miracles is because we selfishly take credit for God's miracles and we may use those miraculous happenings to bring glory to ourselves. If we truly desire miraculous signs and wonders, we need to fix our eyes on the potter and give Him all the glory whether good or bad because His has a plan in it all.
