I Samuel 13:7,9-10,15

v. 7 Here we see Sauls trust (or lack of) in God. We read that Saul's men 'quaked in fear'
v. 9-10 Saul took it upon himself to fulfill God's command in the state of his fear of man.
v. 15 Saul's men went from 3,000 (v.2) to 600 - WOW!

It is clear from this passage that when we fear man more than God, we act foolishly and and miss out on the full blessing (v. 14) that He has for us.
