Wants...
What do you want? That can be a loaded question sometimes. The question, unfortunately, can be asked without complete sincerity. We can use it but not really have the ability to come through for the person. We can also use it without intending to come through. The intent isn't to hear and help. It's to make ourselves look good. The reason being our wants are more important than the other person's wants. But here, Jesus is truly interested in His Father's wants. They will take precedence in His life... or death. "Not what I want, but what do You want." Such a beautiful humility, sincerity and obedience.
So, may we seek to humbly kneel before your Master and Father today. May we sincerely place His desires and will before our own, and may we obediently follow the example of Jesus who obediently laid down His life so that our wants and desires could ultimately be found in His life giving sacrifice!
