I heard this message recently, entitled "When God Crossed His Arms" -- I was blown away. Pastor Judah Smith discusses this story in Gen. 48, when Jacob crossed his arms, knowingly giving his right hand of blessing to the younger, undeserving son of Joseph. Sure, Manasseh was still blessed, but he didn't get the full meal deal like he deserved (due to being the firstborn). Then the parallel gets drawn with God, and His son, Jesus, on the cross. God crossed HIS arms and gave US the blessing that Jesus deserved.

Jacob set Ephraim before Manasseh, giving the undeserving son the blessing that should have gone to the firstborn. God set us before Jesus, giving us -- the undeserving children -- the blessing that should have gone to the holy, truly worthy Son. Listen to the message -- it's some powerful truth...
