The Lord wad moved
2 Samuel 24:25 NASB 25 David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Thus the LORD was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was held back from Israel.
Eventhough David had done wrong and sinned against God, yet He was moved by the prayer for the land. Oh that we would never underestimate the power of prayer. If there's something that moves the heart of God is Prayer. It seems that prayer touches something special in the heart of God, that He allows our feeble prayers to actually move Him. When He hears our prayers He is moved, when He is moved He responds, when He responds He acts on our behalf and saves us!
