A God Place to Start

In the beginning God......
God is real.
God exist.
God IS.....
We should see God as our first priority.

Some of God's character

~ God is TRANSCENDENT -1 Kings 8:23,27
> God is presented as the Lord who is exalted above and over His world.
> Transcendence is not primarily a special concept, but rather it speaks to God's distinction and separateness from His creation and thus His complete Lordship over it.
> He alone is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, and in need of nothing outside Himself.
-Psalm 50:8-12
> God sees and knows everything from the beginning to the end.

~ God is IMMANENT - Psalm 139:1-10
> God is present and involved in the world
> God is intimately involved in the world, but not dependent on it.
> Acts 17:28 - "For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, we are His offspring. "

~ God is INFINITE - Deuteronomy 33:27
> Scripture presents God as having every attribute or quality to the most perfect degree as well as not being bound by any of the limitations of space or time that apply to His creation.
> To affirm God is infinite is to say He is always present everywhere. God is omnipresent.
> God is infinite in knowledge. His knowledge is comprehensive, certain, and immediate including things past, present, and future. God is omniscient.

~ God is SOVEREIGN - Proverbs 21:1
> God's power and governance is so extensive that there is nothing whatsoever that takes the place apart from His plan, and rule, including the free actions of human beings.
> Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases. "

~ God is PERSONAL - Hebrews 3:7-13; 4:14-16
> God is always present as sovereign - personal; never as a mere abstract concept or impersonal force or power.
> NEVER refer to God as "it".
> He is the all-glorious God who knows, wills, plans, speaks, loves, becomes angry, asks questions, gives commands, listens to praise and prayers, and interacts with His creation.

Our first priority not our last resort.

In the beginning God.... The first words of His love letter to us.

Is there any good reason why God shouldn't be first in 2010?
