-David was a brave little dude! - V.32 - "let no man's heart fail because of him. Your servant ill go and fight this Philistine". David was concerned for his countrymen, and even though they were all too afraid of Goliath to confront him, he was willing to go face him.

V.33-37 - David speaks with authority to the King, without seeming arrogant. He has full confidence that the Lord will use him to deliver Israel. There is never doubt in his voice. When we pray, do we doubt God will hear us, that he'll listen? That he'll respond?

v.38 - Saul again see's thing through worldly eyes. Trying to armor david up.

V.46 - David again shows great confidence... but not in himself... in the Lord.
