What every son needs to hear from his dad.
As John baptizes Jesus, God shows all dads how to be good fathers. God's voice from heaven says(my paraphrase)---look at my son, I love him, and I'm so proud of him (I delight in him--in Amplified version) God models fatherhood for us in 3 simple steps: 1. identify with your son, 2. love him and let people know you love him, and 3. be proud of him and delight in him publicly as well as privately. How many boys in today's culture could use that from their dad? How many of us dads needed that when we were young boys/men? Let's break the cycle and follow God's model of fatherhood.
