Thoughts:
If I were to walk into a church and see a man covered in tattoos with a mo-hawk and a man with a nice suit on, well groomed, and very professional in stature and look; who would I initially think that I need to talk to about the Lord???
The Answer: The tattooed, Mo-Hawk Man! I openly admit at first glance I have the world's stereotypes of people clued into my head, in fact not only is it the world's stereotypes it is much of the Church's stereotypes as well. There are stories that I hear of people walking into a church that don't have the "church" look that get shunned because "oh my goodness, that guy is a sinner, I don't want to have anything to do with him!" In fact I see a lot of this Holier than thou attitude amongst the "Body of Christ". I often have to remind myself when I get caught in that cycle that I would never go to a hospital and find a bunch of healthy people and I will never go to a church and find a bunch of "Jesuses" walking around all sinless, blameless, and perfect! We all sin and fall short of the glory of God!
You never know, maybe the tattooed, mo-hawk Man is one the most spiritual people you could have ever met and the well-dressed GQ Man is so far away from the Lord that he is desperately reaching out for the Lord and asking God to send a Christian just like You or Me to talk to him and witness to him?!?
