1 Sam 23 - David inquires of the Lord
It amazes me... David's continual reliance on the Lord through these challenging times. The world was out to get David. He had to flee from his own king, and the protect his people from the Philistines and other enemies at the same time. Yet David continues to seek the lord "shall I go.." It would have been so easy for David to hide away in a cave by himself, not trusting anyone and having to sleep with one eye open. David seems to have a confidence that could only be found by a continual pursuit of his relationship with God. The Lord directed David's steps and kept him safe and he can certainly direct ours!
