Fearing the Lord


The importance of fearing the Lord or of being in awe of Him and His love, grace, mercy, power, etc. When you are blown away by God's greatness you find delight in His commands. Following Him is not drudgery but a privilege and blessing. When a person fears the Lord they worship, they serve, they live for Him. Maybe this is why Jesus begins teaching the disciples how to pray with “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” It’s recognizing His holiness and spending time just worshipping Him. According to this passage, this one key element in a persons life effects everything from your home, your children, your finances, how you handle difficult situations, and more!
