What happens to the wicked


The only problem with what Bildad says in chapter 18 is it isn't true. Beginning in verse five he records all these dastardly things that happen to the wicked, but the truth is, we only wish they would. The Psalmist was more accurate when he warns against fretting because the wicked prosper. Indeed they do...or at least appear to. They seem to get along just fine while we stumble along in the darkness, fighting the enemy and trying to survive.

There is really no satisfactory explanation for what happens to whom except to say, "God is sovereign and always does what's best."
