So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. (2 Thessalonians 1:11 NLT)

Being a parent is not easy. We tend to have many good ideas but end up not following through. Our faith prompts us to make promises but get so caught up in bills and errands that we end up not keeping them. We end up asking God for more time. But it's only through the power that God gives us that we are able to say no to the busyness of life and yes to our family. Along like marriage, parenthood is a faith issue. You have faith that God will mold you. Mold your children. Mold your family.

My calling is to be a father first, a pastor second. Let's join in prayer for all of us that have had it wrong. Before we can pray for our children to be changed, we must allow God to change us.
